With this tool, graphical DVB subtitles from MPEG transport stream can be extracted and converted to a text. For better accuracy, Tesseract needs to be trained for specific font type.
Please be aware that with current OCR engine (Tesseract 3), recognition is not 100% accurate, this is especially true for SD subtitles.
Besides MPEG-TS files, live UDP MPEG-TS streams are also supported. Subtitles can be saved to a basic srt (SubRip) file or streamed over UDP in a basic WebVTT format.
Formatting and positioning is currently not supported.
