No signal/picture

  • Make sure you have the correct playlist.
  • Select the correct network card (NIC).
  • Make sure that NIC is connected to the correct port on the modem. If you are using two or more NICs, choose the one that is connected to IPTV(VIDEO) port of modem.
  • If IPTV network is recognized by the system as a public network, the firewall must also be set to allow traffic for MulticastTV from a public network.
  • Firewall should pass UDP packets and IGMP packets in both directions. If your firewall has "udp flooding" option, you have to disable it.
  • Distorted picture and a lot of TS Discontinuity messages.

    Make sure you have the correct m3u playlist according to your bandwidth.

    Disable network throttling of Multimedia Class Scheduler service by setting the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile\NetworkThrottlingIndex key to 0xFFFFFFFF and then reboot.
    The registry editor can be started by typing in 'regedit' after clicking on start button (Windows 10).


    MulticastTv.Vlc

    No picture

    Do I need to install VLC to use MulticastTV.Vlc ?

    No.

    Does recording timer resume computer from standby?

    Yes. It also prevents computer going into standby while recording .

    Wrong audio track is recorded, video is without subtitles.

    "Raw" recording mode should be selected.

    Multicasttv reads stream from wrong network card.

    Select "index" instead "ip" and restart the program.

    Zoom doesn't work and Aero Glass style turns off when I change channel.

    Select Direct3d or OpenGL video output and make sure you have DirectX End-User Runtime installed.

    Automatic subtitle selection.

    a) Settings-->Preferences->Miscellaneous->DVB subtitles->Language priority->Set three letter language code.

    b) [Not recommended.] Settings-->Preferences->Miscellaneous->Per channel settings->Subtitles PID and then set correct subtitles from right click menu.
